STRUGGLING WITH A BASIC NEED: SUSTENANCE

this web page is no longer maintained click here for newer version 4.0

At times my life is dominated by a struggle to produce or provide basic necessities so my family and I can continue to survive. This tiring struggle often leaves me in a weakened state, but regularly I pause and ask, “Are my basic sustenance needs being satisfactorily met, and are prospects good that they will continue to be met in the future?” If the answer is no, then I must make changes. What I most fear is the day when I have no options, when I don’t know what changes to make. Then I will worry that a slow, painful death lurks nearby. (Note: Sometimes, in their struggle to survive, poor people will not accord other people or the environment the respect that they would if their making a living were not so difficult.)
