 POPULISM / SERVICE TO OTHERS

“The People -- Yes!” This sums up my trust in the collective wisdom and resourcefulness of the people. “Together, We Are Strong!” This embodies my faith that--though they struggle to do so--they’ll triumph over outside forces wanting to divide them, dominate their workplaces and wrest power from communities seeking to democratically control their own affairs. I recognize their hard work and promote their continuing education. Like Jefferson, I feel that common people are “the most honest and safe... depository of the public interests” (Note: Some with a sense of civic duty or who care about people suffering / struggling, run for public office or volunteer to help the sick, deprived, uneducated, etc--or support groups that do.)
